Polish Hyperbaric Research is a quarterly containing scientific papers on topics related to hyperbaric medicine and technology. Its aim is to raise awareness of the achievements of national research centres and the work of particular academics, scientists, and researchers working in these fields. It also contains articles on the results of various national and international research centres and popular science publications. The journal is meant for all interested in the topic of hyperbaric medicine and technology. The membership in Polish Hyperbaric Medicine and Technology Society is not a prerequisite of publishing articles. In the journal, the following papers are published: scientific reports, reviews, and popular science and information papers. All submitted articles are peer-reviewed by a group of highly-qualified researchers and scientists. For the members of the Society, the journal is free. From 2011 on, the journal is issued as a bilingual quarterly, with articles both in Polish and English. The translations are done by the editors and are then proofread by a native speaker of English. The author of the publication is obliged to cover the fee for getting the article ready to print and publishing it, the amount of which depends on the length of the submitted paper. There is a possibility to publish your article for free, which always requires a relevant decision from the Board of the Society and the editors. Polish Hyperbaric Research is on the list of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and is a 5-point scored publication. It is also scored 4.28 points in Index Copernicus database.
